Orchid Scholarship Foundation

History

In 2010, Vietnamese Sakura Scholarship Foundation was established in Kyoto, Japan.

In 2011, the foundation started awarding its first scholarships to students in three high schools in Vietnam, including Chuyen Tong hop (Hanoi), Quoc hoc (Hue City) and Hau Loc I (Thanh Hoa).

In 2012, Orchid Scholarship Foundation was established in Singapore as a successor of the Vietnamese Sakura Scholarship Foundation.

In 2013, the foundation added the Chuyen Su pham high shool (Hanoi city, Vietnam) as a partner to award scholarships.

In 2014, the foundation has doubled the value of each scholarship, from 1.000.000 VND to 2.000.000 VND. For the first time, the foundation has been funded by private companies, including DEPOCEN (Hanoi city, Vietnam) and DMZ (Hue city, Vietnam)

In 2015, the foundation invited the Nang Khieu High School (Saigon, Vietnam) as a partner to award scholarships, increasing the number of partnership to 5 schools.

In 2016, the foundation expanded her network in the South by partnering up with Hung Vuong High School (Binh Duong, Vietnam). Scholarships are now given out to 6 schools in total.
